The C-Tech Fashion Design course is designed to groom such creative minds to offer towards the field of fashion. The course focuses on developing essential skills such as sewing, illustration, product development, made-to-measure techniques, advanced pattern making, draping, garment design, range production, marketing and merchandising of fashion products, as well as computer-aided pattern making, which are very much looked-for in a Fashion Designer. It also imparts creative skills and knowledge on aesthetic sensitivity, market trends, economic parameters and technical competence to conceptualize a fashion product.

The curriculum also includes business planning and portfolio development, equipping candidates with the necessary expertise to succeed in the fashion industry.

Elements & Principles of Design in Fashion:

Introduction to the elements and principles of design in fashion.

Elements of Garments:

Introduction to different types of collars, dresses, sleeves, pockets, cuffs and different components of garments.

Stitch Types:

Helps students understand different stitch types and their applications.

Fabric CAD Techniques & Patterns:

Trains to develop prints and patterns and to apply to flat specs and available garments.

Basic Silhouette Drawing:

Trains to develop flats of shirts, dresses, trousers, skirts, shorts, etc.

Apparel Graphics:

Introduction and limitations to apparel graphics, screen printing, color separation, and photo prints.

Project:

Ensures that the student develops collection based on mood / inspiration board and colour board (either menswear / womenswear).
