Workshop on Clay Modeling

Image Creative Education conducted a workshop on "Clay Modeling", on 19 April, 2013. The purpose of the workshop was to edify the key elements of Clay Modeling. The workshop was lead by our R&D team member, Mr. Kandaswamy. He demonstrated live Clay Modeling by considering one of our students as a live reference and stated blocking the student's face.

He performed sculpting in a procedural way and slowly created the outline. At each step, he elaborated the process, clarified doubts and welcomed creative ideas. Finally, he build the face model in clay to the student's excitement. This made the students very enthusiastic to craft their own clay model.

The students then tried their own blocking with Mr. Kandaswamy's help and successfully came up with great results. Each student was actively participating in the workshop and successfully learnt the Clay Modeling techniques.

To begin with, it's an awesome and first experience to witness a live clay modeling. From my part, I admired the way clay modeling was done. What a Talent! It's a great opportunity for 3D software learners. We spent productive time in observing the Clay Modeling. Thank you. - R. Madhumathi
