A group of twenty enthusiastic students of IMAGE were taken through the process and execution of clay sculpting at the Sculpting College, Mahabalipuram on 12th June 2010. The students were accompanied by two of the faculty members and the technical head.

Students were given an insight of the History of Sculpting by Mr. Rajendran (The Head of the Department of sculpture). And he also explained about the ‘New – Age’ Sculpting to them.

Mr.Srikandan, the chief artist of Creative Studio, shared his professional experiences in this art and the students were given a hands on experience of contemporary sculpting by Mr.Ganesh of the Art Studio. During this tour, the students also learnt about the process of sculpting on the stones.

This educational tour proved to be an extensively informative one to all students who have participated.
