Valentine of Creativity at Calicut

Image Calicut center organized a Designer Kite Flying competition on 14th Feb 2012 at the golden sandy shores of Malabar. The main purpose behind the competition was to make the students aware of the objective approach on visualizing and creating things.

The students were asked to design the kites based on the theme “Valentine’s Day” without losing the aerodynamic structure and were also instructed not attach any readily available fancy stickers, but to hand make every article.

Teams were formed with three members each in one .It was very interesting & challenging for the students to design and make the kites by following all the basic fundamentals of visual design and merge all the concepts within a limited space (square). The students understood the importance of vanishing point in a design. It also improvises the student’s practical knowledge about concept and design which in turn reflects on their creativity. Some teams made more than one designer kite. A total of 46 kites were designed of which only 28 were selected for the competition.

Kudos!! Team calicut for the creative effort.
