Image – Calicut center organized an Industrial visit for B.Sc Multimedia and Graphic designing students in collaboration with Kerala Khadi & village industries at BMU, Chelanur, Kerala on Dec 14, 2011
The objective behind the visit was to make students aware of dimensions of object and how the knowledge of 3D helps in understanding MAYA software. A through session on the topic was undertaken before the industrial visit.
Assembled by 2.00pm at the Building Materials Unit, Chelanur the students were introduced to the staff members and the nitty gritty of cottage industries. The students were briefed about the process and refining of clay, the quantitative measures, the intricacies involved in pottery making. They were also explained about how attractive design can be incorporated and colored by using acrylic medium. The students were very impressed by the session as some of them even tried their skill in pottery.
