Navarathri – It’s customary to display Golu, give tasty Sundal and offer gifts to visitors. But this Navarathri, The students of IMAGE came out with a unique concept of 3D Golu.Instead of Gods and Goddesses, the Golu featured 3D Characters and Dolls from famous 3D Movies, Computer Games etc. One could not see Lord Ganesha but certainly the elephant from ICE AGE and the animals (Lion, Giraffe, Zebra and Hippopotamus) from the movie MADAGASCAR enthralled the visitors.

"Digital Brahmas" is the theme of this unique Digital Golu. The theme fits perfectly as Brahma the creator God has been an inspiration for these young creators. Students have also paid rich tributes to the Animation Industry by displaying the 3D logos of Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks who are considered to be the Giants of this industry. Other interesting 3D models are the clay modelling of Shrek, EVA character from the recently released Wall – E film which has been done in Plaster of Paris, the hanging bridge between a volcano and ice mountain miniature models and the Morlin character from Finding Nemo.
More than 100 students did the models and the entire work was completed in less than 2 days of day and night work. The students’ participation and spirit was outstanding.
