In the year 2003, the growing business opportunities had created a need for producing high quality professionals having the skills to handle International projects with ease. This required a dedicated training facility offering Advanced Specialization courses in Digital Media on a Full Time basis. ICAT was launched in 2004 to fulfill this niche need. Recently, Organizations like NASSCOM and FICCI have been advocating the need for Campus based, Full Time College level training in Digital Media but Image Infotainment Ltd recognized the need much earlier and established ICAT.

ICAT which was started as India's First Digital Media College revolutionized the history of Indian Digital Media Education by introducing Full Time Post Graduation courses and soon offered India's First Degree programs in 3D Animation, Visual FX and Gaming in affiliation with the prestigious University of Wales, UK.

Today with its huge state-of-the-art campuses in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai, ICAT has become India's Largest Digital Media College.
