Fashion design is an art of applying design and aesthetics to clothing and accessories. It is influenced by cultural diversities and social latitudes which have always varied over time and place. Fashion designing attends to combine together creativity, aesthetic sensitivity, market trends, economic parameters and technical competence to conceptualize a fashion product. The program focuses on the procedural technique to project and create a collection by developing models/design, selecting colors, fabric material, drafting pattern collaborating with technical experts to construct and accessorize a collection. The program also implements frequent industrial visit and workshops to incorporate theory with practical study. At the end of the course the students are given a platform to showcase their collection through an annual fashion show attended by prominent personalities from garment, cine and fashion industry.
